Executive Board Member of The International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee, JoJo Brooks Shifflett reads letter requesting the release of Native American political prisoner, Leonard Peltier to President Obama from late AIM leader & cofounder of the American Indian Movement, Dennis J. Banks. Dennis Banks never forgot his AIM brother, Leonard Peltier and left a copy of his original drafted letter with his attorney, JoJo to review and edit. Dennis Banks requested his attorney, JoJo Brooks Shifflett to keep the letter and the certified mailing receipt and instructed her to read his plea for Leonard's immediate release at an appropriate forum following Mr. Banks death at 80.
